I have recently returned from an EA Workshop tour to Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney; here are the three groups:
Canberra (this was on my birthday... hence the cake!)
Since the last newsletter I have also presented to EUMA London on "Chair Brilliant Meetings" and done several in-house sessions on this too. I presented PA courses in London, Upminster, Kuala Lumpur, one to one training in Bridgnorth and a five day Office Managers' course in Dubai. There has been BakerWrite speedwriting, business writing and minute taking sessions in Manchester, Leeds and London and we have lots more subscribers to the online BakerWrite speedwriting training. I also presented another speedwriting webinar for Business Management Daily.
I had the pleasure of visiting the World Wildlife Fund HQ to meet and present to their PAs in Woking. Here we are with "Attenborough", the panda they gave me:
Naturally they have the most environmentally friendly offices you can imagine .. including trees.
Office* Show this year was in May and held at the Excel in London. I presented on "The World is your Oyster" about limiting beliefs and goal setting and I was also invited to join a panel to discuss the impact of all the job titles for Office Professionals.
The panel featured Amy Marsden, EA to the CEO at Earthport, Executive Coach, Libby Moore, former Chief of Staff and EA for Oprah Winfrey, Janice Anderson, EA at Odgers and Berndtson and was chaired by Amelia Walker, Editor of PA Life Magazine. There will be a full write up on the event in the May/June issue of the magazine.
The Scottish PA Network Awards event was held in Glasgow in May and was, thanks to Rosemary McLennan and her team, a tremendous success. With speakers covering stress, social media and personal development, holding it all together was Sarah Heaney, a keynote speech from the amazing Melba Duncan and finally the Awards presentation to the winners:
PA of the Year : Sally Lloyd of CodeBase
Best PA Newcomer : Claire McBrearty of Wm Grant & Sons Ltd
Here they are with their awards:
What a great year they will have ...
Here is the in-house group in Upminster; I'll be back with them again later this month for part 2:
